A structured, occupational therapy–led motor skills programme designed for health services, clinics and schools to support children at home while waiting for, or following, direct therapy input.

Octobox was developed to bridge a critical gap in service delivery — empowering families to work on meaningful motor skills at home, with clear guidance, structure and clinical integrity.
Octobox is best suited to community based public health departments, but it is suitable for many organisations. The Health Innovation Hub Ireland, along with University College Cork conducted research on the benefits of Octobox and how it impacted motor skill development, and efficiencies within services.
Designed for Health Systems. Loved by Families.
Children complete one themed month at a time, supported by engaging videos, hands-on projects and gamified challenges.
Programme includes:
✔️ 3 themed modules: Space, Bugs & Adventure
✔️ 60+ video demonstrations led by an Occupational Therapist
✔️ Structured progression across fine motor, bilateral coordination, motor planning and postural control.

Clear Demonstrations. Consistent Practice. No Guesswork for Families.
Every activity is demonstrated on video by an Occupational Therapist, ensuring families understand how and why to complete each task.
Activities can be easily graded up or down to meet each child’s current abilities.

Hands-On Projects That Turn Practice into Play
Each theme includes a custom-designed Whizz Kid Project — a build-it-yourself activity that children assemble and use as part of their motor skill challenges.
